Recipes, entourage effect and quantities

What a recipe's name covers, what the entourage effect describes, and how to read a quantity or a microdose.

A cannabinoid recipe is an intentional blend of major and minor cannabinoids. The most common bases combine, in varying proportions, CBD, CBG, CBN and CBC. Acid forms, terpenes or other permitted constituents can round out the profile.

The term 'entourage effect' refers to the hypothesis that several constituents of cannabis can modulate each other's effects. Interactions are plausible, and some are observed in experimental models, but the literature does not demonstrate a uniform, automatic or predictable effect for every combination.

A microdose refers to a deliberately low quantity relative to a usual dose of the same compound. It's a way of approaching a product gently. It is neither a molecule nor an official unit of measurement: it's an intention, best expressed as a number.

Isolate. A product composed mainly of a purified cannabinoid. Its simplicity makes analytical dosing easier, but the isolate's name alone does not describe residual solvents, contaminants or excipients.

H2 is a formula name bringing together several major and minor cannabinoids. It can be built on a base of CBD, CBG, CBN and CBC, whose proportions give the recipe its identity.

H3 is a formula name bringing together several major and minor cannabinoids. It can be built on a base of CBD, CBG, CBN and CBC, whose proportions give the recipe its identity.

KX60 is a commercial recipe name. It can refer to a blend of CBD, CBG, CBN, CBC and other minor cannabinoids, depending on the profile chosen by the manufacturer.

VMAC is generally presented as an abbreviation for 'Various Mix Active Cannabinoids.' It's a recipe combining several major and minor cannabinoids, often built around CBD, CBG, CBN and CBC, sometimes rounded out with terpenes.

Félozine, sometimes spelled Felozine, is a commercial formula name. It refers to a recipe of major and minor cannabinoids that can notably combine CBD, CBG, CBN and CBC in proportions specific to the manufacturer.

CBG9 is mainly encountered as the name of a recipe or range. In this reading, it can correspond to a formula built around CBG and rounded out with CBD, CBN, CBC or terpenes.
